Landslide - Thame

The massive landslide after crossing the Bhote Koshi bridge which was still very active while this picture was being taken. For a moment, we couldn't figure out what the mumbling sound was - was it of the Bhote Koshi river down below or the the rocks crumbling down the ridge. The landslide of this scale is a result of Dig Tsho GLOF in 1985. The landslide did not occur immediately after 1985 GLOF but slowly later due to constant errosion and other factors because of the sharp cutting of its banks.
