Thame Teng Interview

The is the continuation of the previous interview with Lhakpa and her description of how the landscape and their livelihood pattern changed in the aftermath of Dig Tsho GLOF. In the picture is her elder son - Phurpa Tenzin Sherpa who is 12 years old and studies in grade 8 in the local school at Khumjung. Apparently, Lhakpa's husband has gone to Everest Base Camp with an Expedition to climb Mt. Everest. Lhakpa's youger son - Gyale Namtuk also stays with her and goes to a local school in Thame. He studies in grade 3.
