7th April 2008 - Dawa Steven
Sherpa
We had set off at 8:30 in the morning - and it's been a
long slug throughout the day. I accompanied Charles (expedition
member) for the majority of the time and since both of us
had heavy packs we took our time reaching Namche. Finally
we were in Namche. It's been more than a decade since I
last slept over in Namche. The day's trekking was tough
and long but as we had enough stops for lunch and rest it
didn't really take a toll on us.
Tonight, we are staying at hotel Camp de Base - it's
clean and warm - all that one can ask for. My body is still
adjusting to the "load-carrying-mode" and so
a good rest is much appreciated. Nothing much else happening
here...
